Areas of Practice

Education

John focuses his practice primarily on Education Law and represents numerous Boards of Education throughout the State of New Jersey. Specifically, he has significant experience with Special Education Due Process Petitions regarding issues of free appropriate public education, individualized education programs, and compensatory education. Moreover, John provides legal counsel to several institutions regarding issues of employment and compliance to mitigate any potential legal liability.

Before joining the Comegno Law Group, P.C., John clerked in the Mercer County Superior Court, Family Part. There, he authored and edited significant portions of Judicial Orders in anticipation for Appellate Review. Additionally, he examined dozens of marital contracts and financial documents and conducted analysis of the terms therein to confirm proper compliance with the law.

John attended Stockton University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2016. Consequently, he attended Rutgers Law School-Newark and graduated in 2019. There, he was a junior editor for the Rutgers Journal for Law and Religion and participated in the Rutgers Community and Transactional Clinic. The clinic gave John hands on legal experience where he negotiated contracts on behalf of 501(c)(3) Non-profit Corporations with states agencies and private corporations. He also was able to advise clients of the formation on business entities and drafted articles of incorporation, bylaws, and operating agreements.

John is licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey. While not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his friends and his family. Further, he takes time to speak and advise undergraduate students who are considering a career in law.
